There is a very proud tradition in Spa N.S. of participation in local, county, regional and national quiz competitions over the past twenty years. This love of general knowledge, testing questions and brain teasers must be credited to the efforts of former principal Master Tom Crowley who is our ultimate quiz expert. Tom has encouraged and coached numerous students and teams down through the years and whetted their appetite for more and more quiz questions and more importantly the answers to those questions. Tom visits classes regularly and tries a little bit of ‘quiz time’. Students who are interested in committing more time are invited to work with Master Crowley after school and prepare for a number of different quiz competitions very year. Because of this commitment, Spa N.S. has enjoyed tremendous success in the Credit Union Chapter, County and National quiz competitions as well as Pioneer Association, G.A.A. and Community Games competitions.
Everyone in Spa N.S. greatly appreciates the massive contribution Master Tom Crowley has made and is making to this wonderful area of school life and the support and opportunities he has provided for all our quiz teams. Keep up the good work Tom!
