School Board of Management
The Board of Management manages the school on behalf of our patron, the Bishop of Kerry and is accountable to both the patron and the Minister of Education. The Board works to uphold the ethos of Spa National Primary School and is accountable to the patron for doing so. School Principal Peter Linehan is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, including providing guidance and direction to the teachers and other staff of the school and is accountable to the Board.
The Board of Management meet regularly during each school year, where a variety of topics are discussed including current educational issues, budgeting, curriculum, policy development, employment and forward planning. Each Board of Management serves a four year term.
The Board of Management of Spa N.S. has eight members: two members nominated by the Patron, two members elected by the parents, the School Principal and a teacher nominated by the staff. These six members then nominate two other members from the wider community. The term of office for the Board is four years.
The current board’s term is from 1st of December 2023 to November 2027. The members of the current Board of Management are as follows:

- Health / Safety Officer &Teachers’ Nominee – Niall Morgan
- Patrons’ Nominee – Fr. F. Nolan

- Parent Nominee – Deirdre Falvey
- Community Nominee – Breda Rogers
Our Board of Management work in a voluntary capacity for the benefit of all of the children in Spa National School and their hard work and dedication to our school is very much appreciated by all.
